cant get launch a mission and get into combat :(

ive already mounted the d drive in dosbox with a .iso copy of mech2 mercs, but when i try to launch a mission the game crashes with "MW2.EXE - fatal error #53: SYSERR_CDNOTFOUND: CD-ROM not mounted"
1.i can burn a copy of the mercs.iso image to a disc and mount dosbox to that instead of using a .iso image maybe?
2.something yall can do to help me with.

P.S. ive already used all the patches i can on mech2 merc on the downloads page of the forum. so im all patched up. Im using the dos version not the win95 version. And yes ive read and followed the install guide.
The steps i used is i used dosbox to install the dos version, and used the default install path. After i installed the dos version i patched it up with the patches that you guys have on the download page. My OS Is Microsoft Windows 7 build 7600 RTM
