What is you Favorite Clan Assault Mech (dont limit yourself to the Mechwarrior games, think about the uses of the mechs in the Battletech tabletop game as well)

Out of all I've listed
I like the following:

Dire Wolf, Blood Asp, Kingfisher, Executioner, and Warhammer IIc (in no particular order)

my comments on the Assault Mechs:

* Blood Asp -- Great Assault mech. Alt Version B is a good variant. Fielded commonly by Star Adder (to insult Blood Spirits :( )and I've heard rumors of them being fielded by Federated Commonwealth :shock:
* Blood kite -- Decent Cheap mech fielded by Blood Spirits. They would normally field the cheaper mechs.
* Dire Wolf -- Iconic, bad to the bones, Assault Mech.
* Executioner -- Excellent fast mech. Several Khans have fielded this mech before
* Gargoyle -- Excellent Fast Mech
* Kodiak -- 2nd line mech. Not much comment about it.
* Kingfisher -- Alt Variant C very good endurance mech. Fielded by several clans. Cheap enough for Blood Spirits to even field.
* Marauder IIc -- Not much to comment here.
* Naga -- Arty mech
* Stone Rhino -- Not much to comment here.
* Supernova -- 2nd Line mech
* Turkina -- Probably least favorite of them all. Walking platform with very slow running speed.
* Warhammer IIc -- Warhammers always have a place in my heart :mrgreen:
* Warhawk -- Decent mech. Scary 4x ERPPCs but overheating is a major issue. Alt Variant C is nice

Stone Rhino, Executioner, Warhammer IIC

General remarks:
In MW2, all mechs are Omnimechs, so the difference between mechs in the same weight class is in the looks and the mech's profile as a target. I like 100-ton mechs because you can slap maximum armor on them. 95-ton mechs are better sometimes, because outfitting these with engines that give 4 walking points costs 26.5 tons for a 100-ton mech, while it costs only 20.5 tons to achieve the same walking speed with a 95-ton mech, for a gain of 1 ton and loss of about 1 ton of armor. Without MASC, the heaviest mechs to achieve 5 walking points are 80-ton mechs, so no difference in max. speed for between 85 to 100 tons.

A few:

Image
(I prefer the missle-boat/LBx10 varient, jump-jeting sideways and back while constantly bombarding foes with a barage of missles and cannons.)

Image
(Probably my most frequently used assault mech, I lighten the weapon load down to a couple of large lasers and some medlasers to increse speed, add jets and heat sinks.)

Image
(This thing just absorbs shots, nice short-range mech.)

"KODIAK, JAG BASE, KODIAK!!!!!!!"

i dunno, just was reminded of that intro when I saw your kodiak pic.

Kodiaks dont really interest me much. I suppose they are great in the mechwarrior games, but I dont think they are any more of an advantagein the board games

I need to add the Highlander IIC to our list for its nasty Gauss rifle.

i knew someone would say the Highlander IIc

While the Stone Rhino's classic art absolutely doesn't match the loadout, it doesn't scream "hit me" nearly as loud as the Highlander or Kodiak ...

Although I will agree with the Classic Arts not fitting the load out of the Stone Rhino (and Marauder IIc)
I cannot agree the Highlander's loadout really instills fear into me

It does look cool however, especially compared to the original Highlander
