Gib mechs !!

since i can't find a way to SS my dos mech2 lab for you all I figured i would just post what I created for "gib matches"
First off the C-1 gib firemoth. engine is a 180XL,
one weapon an ER large laser mounted on the head.

10double heatsinks, 3 need to be assigned crit slots, I put one in each torso loc
It has 5 jump jets, 2 in each leg and one in the left tors0, it has masc in the right torso
it uses FF, and ES armor/IS every slot has exactly enough armor and internal for one hit.
Armor on: head is 7 (3)
RT/LT 5/5 (5)
CT 4/4 (6)
ARM 6 (3)
LEG 6 (4)

I don't think there is one. That's NovaIV posting about mech configs to use for low armor games (like no armor and gauss rifles, for instance... like a FPS "instagib" kind of mod).

if you really want instagib, talk to highlander about making a weapon mod that turns the ER Large into something giggly.

in his mod it already has a 2.5k range, with a higher velocity. would just need to crank up the damage for instagib

my mian thoughts behind these mechs were two fold, to help folks perfect their targeting lag, and to provide fun "instakills" with a legal mech. granted it'll still take two hits on average to down one, but not much more than that

i think one reason this hasn't taken off in the past, is the regen time. it just doesn't flow with the number of usual players most games have.

kinda like how travel time made the missions to easy.
