Whats the deal?

I have noticed from screenies and such that most of the "duels" took place with timberwolves. Was there a reason for this?
I always liked a well configured Nova myself. Still is my mainstay. Its lower profile makes it harder to target and it still packs a HUGE wallop.

Just wondering why I rarely see anything but Twolves featured in pics of duels.

Cause novas are useless except in the hands of a select few.
Timberwolf is the best mech in the game. Simple :)

There are two kinds of mechs I don't like. One cannot torso-twist, the other has all weapons in the arms, like the Gargoyle. The Timberwolf may be overused, but is a very stylish design. Fortunately, MW2 allows a great deal of freedom in configuring mechs.

Found that out on my second netmech game at the Alshain Canyons.

Timber Wolf is one of the most stylish mechs in mw2, like skyfaller said
thats why i love using it :)

but i'm flexible enough to use some others:
Hellbringer, Warhammer, Nova

Good tonnage, cool lookin, no major bugs (summoner! grr!), tis a great mech. I was always ToP'd my way to Star Colonel specifically so I could use a timby in battle

*pulls out his cane*

Back in my day, when you joined a Clan, you were stuck in a Nova until you ToP'd out of the sibko. I remember fondly the months spent in a Nova learning the intricate use of Jump Jets and surprising many enemies by killing them in my trusty Nova.

Yep, them were the days! Now you Whipper Snappers have 'torso twist', whatever that is. Probably some new kind of drug......

exactly, if you were good with the jets, you could do some very serious damage with ANY mech, a nova was just big enough not to get whittled away before a bigger heavy or assault (or 7) blew up.

That is the issue whether or not a person can A) Handle lack of torso twist. B) Is very good at anticipating other players moves with jets.
The thing is there is only one person that I know that can pull off a nova convincingly and that is Freeza. It is a rare gift to be able to put up with that deathtrap of a mech.
