MechWarrior 2: Resource Forum

I finally decided to join the forum(whoopie).

Anyway I wonder if it should be noted that NO windows version of Mechwarrior 2 will work on Windows 8. I tried Titanium and a Retail Pentium version converted to 3dfx, and both crash at the exacted same place: as soon as you launch any mission. I haven't tried a real 3dfx version since i haven't come across one yet, but it would probably crash the same way. If anyone else has had any luck getting these games to work on Windows 8, I'd love to hear so I would know it's not the OS.

That's okay, i have the dos versions and they work fine. I'm just disappointed that I can't try out the 3dfx version after seeing it work for windows 7 but not 8, and not being about to use the titanium version on here either. Thanks for your reply, however. I'll try that program out when I can track down win95 or 98 discs somewhere.
