Well here we go with mine.

1. MechWarrior2 Series (PC)
2. Final Fantasy 1 (original NES version)
3. Earth Siege (PC)

5. Heretic (PC)

9. Descent Series (PC)
10. MechCommander (The first one by Microprose for the PC)

It is kind of hard to just list ten, I feel that Doom and Wolfenstien 3D should be in there as well. Not to mention I almost forgot about The Dig until SkyFaller mentioned it, that was another great mystery/puzzle game along with (Atlantis---something...) it was a long game 5-6CDs, came out in the mid to late 90s.

Making a list of top 10 is difficult as LordNova mentioned, but... Here is my list:

I think that Eye of the Beholder deserves to be mentioned here. It introduced me to first-person dungeons years before Doom.

What! My first CD game! I had to go buy a 2 button joystick for that thing!
