I fired Mercs back up because it's still fun to play without the vids, and the vids were there! Not sure why they didn't show up before, but they're back and so far (I've only run a few missions) mercs is running great through DOSBOX.

Okay, here's another one from the newbie...

When I try to do a full install of Mercs I get an error that there's not enough space in the directory. I have over 100 times the amount of space needed free on my hard drive. What's the deal?

Found a solution. ST290 works beautifully now. I DL'd software from Saitek (Free) to slave keystrokes over to joystick buttons. It's taken some time to figure out throttle and rudder controls, but I'd be happy to share the profile I've set up to jumpstart you.

I have the same stick. I went through all the possible options on the controls list to see which would work best. Several come close, but the best functionality is with the 2-button joystick (no jumping around or crossed assignments between rudder and throttle). Maybe there's a way we could map the ...

Hey, thanks! I found it! I installed, and guessed "MW2SHELL" as the command to run. It got me in. I can set up my own Merc Commander, or Mercenary campaign, but I can't enter any missions or go instant action. Every time I do it exits me out to DOS. This is off topic for this thread, but any ideas ...
