Convert single heat sinks to double for free
I stumbled across this when I upgraded my Atlas, and noticed that it converted all the heat sinks currently on my Mech to the double type, but also charged me $50,000 for each one (the price of pulling them out of each critical slot). With a bit of experimentation, I figured out how to do this for ...

Mercs 95 on Vista
I am able to get it running fine on my XP SP3 box, but now I'm trying to make it run on a Vista computer. Slug's Hook is what worked for me on XP, so that's what I tried first. However, when I launch the game, the MW2hook and Mercs game windows both briefly appear and then immediately close, with no ...

Re: Titanium and xp. easy patch
Do those patches fix the mech lab bug that prevents you from using custom configurations?

Was there a Win95 version of GBL?
I'm trying to track down a copy online, and am coming up empty-handed. One online seller told me he didn't think it existed, other than the Titanium Edition.
Assuming there was, is there a way to convert a DOS GBL install into a Win95 one, with CD spawns or some other way?

Re: Mercs 95: 1.06 or 1.1?
Oh, another problem I keep forgetting to ask about: in Mercs DOS, I can't get the game to recognize my middle mouse button (clicking the wheel), even when using mouse2kv.exe in the batch file. Additionally, there are some jumpiness issues: for example, if I press the slash key to re-center my torso ...

Re: Mechwarrior 2 Mercs on XP - Mechlab issues.
I'd recommend alternating between two or three different save slots, to guard against that happening again.

Re: Mechwarrior 2 Mercs on XP - Mechlab issues.
You could try moving the existing .mek file out of the \mek folder, then creating your new config, then renaming one of the files from (for example) "tbr00usr.mek" to "tbr01usr.mek" (or 02, or 03, etc) and putting them both back in \mek. That should let you keep multiple custom configs for each Mech ...

Re: Mercs 95: 1.06 or 1.1?
If I duplicated my Mercs installation directory and installed 1.1 into one of them, would the other one still play 1.06 properly? Or does that patch modify stuff in Windows system folders that both have to access?

Mercs 95: 1.06 or 1.1?
Hi all,
I'm wondering what version you all recommend playing.
Version 1.1 apparently has "dynamic salvage", which sounds like a cool feature. It also claims to include various bug patches, including stuff that sounds very important. ("Engine type can now be modified in the Mercenaries Commander ...

Re: Titanium Trilogy custom mech lab
Can the Titanium versions (in either enhanced or 8-bit installation) be converted to DOS or Win95 versions via CD spawns, or some other method?
How exactly was the "replacement dll from slugs patch" fix done? If I know that, maybe I can figure out how to do it for Titanium.
