A single player MWM? You mean a mission launched through mercnet that has AI?

As far as I am aware, this won't work.
Actualy, it will work. I have played singleplayer Mercnet missions before, they work just fine. It is when you mix online play with the AI mechs when you run into problems.

Check this link here to get all kinds of maps. There are at least three singleplayer missions. One is called "Radar Raid", another called "Darkest Hour", and a third one.

It may just be that the shell thinks all mechs are automaticly user-controlled during online play. In a similar situation, I was the "Partision Contact" mech on the "MCC1" Mercs campaign mission, and the mech seemed to move on it's own without any aid. The only thing I was able to do was fire my weapons.

Yeah it should, I wrote it!

"darkest hour" was done by another guy - maybe Stacy Harley, but I don't remember.

Cool map, Endymion.

But one question to either of you two, which BWD file contains weather like snow and rain?
And has anyone here heard of a command/compiler program called "Blitz3D"?

That seems to be in the xxxxPLT1.wld file. It's in a block enclosed by weather_begin and weather_end. Here's an example from the source for GAS.MWM that comes with mw2edit3d:

planet 1.00 0 10000 365 0 27000
weather_begin
type rain
parsec 20
velocity 0 -1500 0
weather_end

Note:

I have a feeling weather may only be available in the D3D version of mercs (ie, the D3D 1.1 patch, not the 8 bit 1.1 patch).

Not to raise the dead here, but what ever happened to that CAD program you could edit/build missions with? I remember stumbling across it years ago and playing around with it a little bit.

I think this might be said mission editor... http://www.starleaguepirates.com/files/ ... editor.zip (had to upload it to a different server as it was too big to post on the forums)
Unfortunately you need at least windows 95/98 to run it, might be able to get it to work on XP. Have to get a VM set up to test it out.
