Hi all, was just wondering if it is possible to run Mechwarrior 2 (enhanced for the Diamond Monster 3D) Windows 95 edition will work through MechVM on Vista? I have tried getting it to work but it usually either crashes or sends me back to the mission select screen when I try and run a mission.
Any suggestions?

With vista or mechvm your out of luck.
It will only run on Windows XP and below with the wrappers that are currently available.
(Note: there might be better wrappers since I last looked, so google.)

James 3:5-10: My Reminder
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Re: MechVM with 3DFX and Vista
You may be able to get this to work with MechVM and NGlide:
http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
MechVM will apply patches to make the 2D part (called shell) work. The NGlide drivers have been designed to work with WinXP and Win7, and may get the sim to work. No word about Vista, though. So my advice is to install the game with MechVM, and then activate the NGlide drivers, but I haven't checked this myself.
