MechWarrior 2: Resource Forum

This version is very easy to get running generally, unless you have the retail Pentium version.
The retail Pentium version for some reason has a difference in the mech2.exe therefore it is incompatible with slugs patch.

I have the retail pentium version, any known way to get this working? Or would I have to replace the mech2.exe?

I've tried the hook and slug's patch neither method seems to have worked. VM is working semi-functionally for me. It crashes whenever I try to run a mission from the main mission hall, I can still do trial of grievance, as well as use FREEBIRTHTOAD to launch OLD mission's, but then I lose the ability to change my Mech from the default.

When I tried using the Hook method I get this error:

"MW2.EXE - fatal error #29: SySERR_CANTOPENBWDDOSFILE: Error opening BWD file: exittos.BWD ID -1
