Mechwarrior 2 ATI Rage Resolution problem

I have everything working on an old system I built just to use my old, original copy of Mechwarrior 2. It is a Pentium 3 600E, 256mb ram, and currently an ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP card. I have also tried a Rage IIC PCI 8M card. When I start the mission, the HUD is clipping off of the screen at the top. Everything else displays fine, but the top of the screen is cut off all the way down to, and including the first row of weapons.

I have tried every resolution that the monitor supports, from 640x480 all they way to 1280x1024.

One interesting thing is that if I hit print screen, and paste it into paint, they whole screen is captured, with nothing being cut off. It is weird. Does anybody have any ideas?

Ok, new problem. :-) the graphics arent cut off anymore, but when starting a mission, the HUD and everything loads perfect, except no terrain, models or textures load
Its a complete black display, other than the HUD. However, i can turn enhanced imaging on, and the game is perfectly playable with wireframe...

Has anyone had this bug before?
