MechWarrior 2 DOS - Install Guide for D-Fend Reloaded?

Post by TsunamiZ »

Any chance of making an install guide for MechWarrior 2 DOS for D-Fend Reloaded? D-Fend Reloaded is a popular graphical environment for DOSBox and is supposed to be easier than DOSBox for newbs. D-Fend Reloaded already contains DOSBox together and is ready to use.

There is also a portable version of D-Fend Reloaded. So you can use it without installing it. Go to...

...and at the bottom, click on "other installation packages" to expand that section. You can choose either the PortableApps version or .zip version--which is also portable.

I'll consider it, but I am not sure it is necessary. With mechvm you can skip most of the hastle.
Secondarily your the first person to make the request, so I really would have to see more people requesting this because up till now I had never even heard of it.

You are more than welcome to make a guide though. If it is good I'll be glad to post it in the FAQ section.

it was highly recommended to me by some dosbox users. i'm one of the newbs. it's also the first frontend posted in google results when searching for "dosbox frontend". and it looks better than the other frontends out there.
