Forever a Cadet?

First off I wanted to say thank you for MechVM! The memories of my youth can now be lived once more!

I do have an issue though, this is in regards to the titanium trilogy edition of mw2. I start off as cadet, and even after completing training, it just won't click me into mechwarrior status. That leaves my first trial of position as one rank lower than possible, which wasnt an issue when I played before, at least I don't think it was...

Is this a new bug or old that I just haven't remembered? More importantly, is there a fix?

Playing training does not change your rank at all.
The training mostly was just a tutorial and had no affect on on the game.

What you got on the trial of position was accurate.

So khan rank is only possible on non titanium editions?

That sucks. I know it's only trivial and doesnt affect gameplay, but it gives the effect of someone giving you a cookie and then immediately taking it away.

Yeah, looking around it appears that you are correct.
I never knew this, but yes apparently Activision did goof up on the titanium and messed up the rankings after trial making it impossible to become khan.
