MW2:Mercs Mercenary Commander Game ?'s

Post by Old Battloid »

Some obscure game play questions: :geek:

1. In the Mercenary Commander game, is it possible to upgrade your standard engine to an XL? (Buy upgrade?)

2. In the MC game, possible to upgrade the standard/XL engine's speed as in the Instant Action mech lab?

3. In the MC game, Inferno "streak" srm2's are never availible for purchase, right?

Just a few for starters...

Thanks guys,

What version of MW2 Mercs you're running?
Regular (any version number)? Titanium?

MW2:Mercenaries starts in May, 3044. At that point, not all the equipment is available, so just keep playing, and more equipment will become available.

I'm using the DOS/Win 95 1.05 version...

The XL engine option never comes up to buy... :(

(And you can't change the max speed of the mech either...)

Yes, you can change the Mech's speed. I think the option is somewhere under equipment. However, in contrast to MW3, only integer multiples of the Mech's tonnage are allowed. In order to upgrade to an XL engine, you may have to buy or select "Engine upgrade" or something. I can't look it up right now, but could do so later if you keep having problems to find it.

My MW2:Mercs version never let's you change the mech's speed or engine type while playing the "Mercenary Commander" campaigne... =(

Only thing I can do is buy a mech from the factory that already has an XL engine... (And there are few of those...)
