as in which type exactly? Sorry to say I never found out.
There is a history though behind the picture as I have used it as my avatar since 1999.
I chose the symbol because I was hanging around MottDaHoop.
Mott had a avatar of a blue monkey, so I chose the big blackish blue gorilla to match.
Secondarily I had switched my avatar about the time I became khan of DT near the end of its life.
That is also where I tacked Sir on my name.. I was trying to get taken more seriously at the time, so I figured those two things went hand in hand.
It did help actually.
After DT died off I joined JW and was soon nominated by Mott for a blood name and I soon underwent the Trial of Bloodright.
I faced three different mechs: a stormcrow, Summoner, and Timberwolf.
In order to pass the trial I had to defeat all three mechs.
All mechs were stock mechs, including mine.
I failed because I took a stock timberwolf.
I was given a second chance a few weeks later, and I did win.
This time I took a Summoner Alt. B.
My opponents were DevKill (Khan of JW), BlackJack(Famously great pilot and great guy), and I think the third was Flaming(Nice guy).
Anyways that is the story, and monkeys/ape/gorillas have always been the signature of a person from the house of Radick.
Someday I hope Mott comes by so that you can meet him.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Say here's as good a place as any to discuss it; whats the origin of YOUR avatar Skyfaller?
(I know Hank's and I'm sure he knows mine)

My avatar is a Quintessan. In the Transformers fictional universe, as shown in the cartoon series, the Qunitessans built robots to serve them. These robots chased the Quintessans from their home planet and learned how to transform into vehicles, hence the name Transformers. Quintessans still hold a grudge with the Transformers even after all those years. Another name for a Quintessan is "Five faces of darkness", because their body has five faces, and they rotate to show the one that best suits their mood.Col.Kell wrote:whats the origin of YOUR avatar Skyfaller?
I like my Qunitessan avatar because despite their apparent evilness, I see them as creators.
