Cooperative Play

I have thought about it before, that MechWarrior 2 would make a great co-op game, like being able to play campaign missions together. I ask, has anything ever been made to support co-op in MechWarrior 2? Does anyone think this would be a good idea? I assume that it would not be too difficult to make a program, similar to Netmech, to play MechWarrior 2 cooperatively.

It would be fun for sure.
Although the problem I think is that the AI is generally weak, and the missions are rather short. Although, if AI can be ironed out, I doubt making suitable missions would not be...
too complicated.
I can't answer your question I am afraid. I suspect co-op has never been made for Mechwarrior 2, partially because multiplayer was such a pretty new thing back in our days of 14.4 kb modems
