Hey,
npsbre and I were goofing around at the idea of having a Dodgeball style class for netmech games
basically it'd be a mech with only Gauss Rifle (1 or more?), and the mech has no armor -- just like in real life if you get hit by the ball in dodge ball, you're out. Can max out JJs, and engine/masc
anyone think that this might be a fun style game, and willing to try it?

We had been discussing dodgeball on IRC, and this came to mind. The origin is someone came by on Kali several years ago and wanted to play a game like this (gauss rifles + minimum armor), called differently. It was kinda fun but I recall only playing it a few times at most.

this has sorta been tried before
the problem is the instagib,,,it doesn't always work:(
maybe the gurus around here can fix that with a weapons patch to ramp up the guass' damage
or maybe ramp up the speed and hit damage of the ppc

well we'd have to work within the perimeters of what the game is programmed to do. of course the game wasnt designed for a dodgeball type gameplay, but we gotta work with it the best we can
