I just found this neat looking program, it's called Install Creator. I got it off of http://www.clickteam.com and it's pretty cool. Try this sample I made!
(It's only a text file, don't worry )
I wonder if there is a way to interigrate PRJPP into a patcher like that, and mop up the need for any of those bland .bat files.

I prefer the .BAT files. I start them by double-clicking the .BAT file I want to run, and it doesn't ask silly questions that are answered in the readme file. You can do a lot with .BAT files. It's even possible to ask the user for input. If you have questions about .BAT files, please ask.
It would be possible to integrate patch management into MechVM, but I don't think we need something that advanced yet. A nice example of a good implementation for patch management is Battle for Wesnoth, where you can download and install additional campaigns from inside the game. We're simple not there yet.
