Would be great to see... If you or anyone else has any ideas for an alternate campaign, feel free to share with me some detail of how it may be scripted (because I have never read any battletech novels), I'd be glad to rise up to the challenge.

So many questions ...
- Would it be possible to use PRJPP to make a simplified installer for your Map Packs, Kell?
- Could the Map Packs be included into one package?
- Are there any other mods you would like to distribute with the help of PRJPP?

Re: Col.Kell's Trial of Grievance Map Pack 2
I guess I'm a little confused, I'm not quite sure what I am (or was) supposed to do to make a patcher. Am I supposed to run "patch.bat" or "PRJPP.EXE"?
I ran patch.bat and it said it couldn't locate the specified file or program. I ran PRJPP.EXE and it gave me the same error as when I tried to run MechVM on my laptop, it said "the configuration" was "incorrect" or something.
But I can answer the last two questions.
2) Yes, both map packs can work as one complete set or package, because they were made from different ToG planets.
3) Yes, I would like ToG map SCN1 files to be told to include a renamed and FE FF altered userstar file so it could point to new mech chassis that anyone would like to play as.
Thank you for your patiance.

Re: Col.Kell's Trial of Grievance Map Pack 2
OK, I'll have to recompile and repackage the thing. Give me about five hours...
Install instructions are as follows: unpack the .ZIP in your MW2:31stCC DOS folder. Run patch.bat in the ViewDist subdirectory. It will patch the viewing distance for the first JF mission to 8km, all other missions are unaffected. If you create your own patchers, it's probably best to use the ZIP utility's ability to create self-extracting executables. Note that PRJPP needs a Win32 environment to work, DosBox won't do.
In order to create your own patches, extract the patched file from MW2.PRJ and compare it to the original file (extract and diff commands). This will create a diff file. Then, edit patch.bat to use that diff file, and duplicate the commands in that file as needed if you need to patch several files. Please rename the directory ViewDist to something else. As a result, many different patches should be able to coexist in a single MW2 installation. You could even provide uninstallers for each of them. The patch and diff commands can be used for all types of binary files, not only MW2.PRJ, but it doesn't handle block inserts well.

Thanks for the specifics, I'll give this another try once you're done with that.

At long last! The map pack has an automated patcher!
Thank you Skyfaller for your incredible PRJPP so I could produce a patcher!
Many more incredible works are on the way thanks to this!
Go ahead and give this new revised TOGMP2.ZIP a try!

Better yet, I think perhaps I should work on new campaign levels, as ToG SCN1 files are much too small to replace with and get an actual scenario.Slavick Kell wrote: Wow awesome TOG map. I especialy like the aircrafts, that is not something you normaly see.
