Call for testing: MechVM Installers

MechVM can install a number of MW2 versions. It would help me very much if you could test which CD-ROM versions are detected correctly in MechVM. Just insert the CD, run MechVM, hit install, check if MechVM offers correct install options, and post the results here. Please describe the CD-ROM version as precisely as possible. I ask this because I don't have all versions in this list (Thanks for that list, MMPD!).

It would help me even more if you test if the shell and sim work after installing. Please note that installing 3D enhanced versions is not supported yet.

Currently, I don't have the following editions, so I cannot provide installers for:
  • MW2:31stCC with DOS and Windows on one disk
  • MW2:31stCC S3 Virge
  • MW2:31stCC ATI 3D Rage Edition
  • MW2:31stCC STB Velocity
  • MW2:GBL Battlepack
I'd like to know whether the DOS versions are detected correctly, but testing installing is not required since installing through DosBox is more recommendable in that case anyway.

Thanks for helping me with this.

Under MechVM version 11-27-08, I made MVM install what I believe is either the Vanilla or Pentium edition of 31cc that has both Win95 and MS-DOS on the same disk.

When I inserted the CD, MechVM only detected the DOS version of the game.
When it was installed and I played the campaign, all I saw were a bunch of PCX screens. No music, animations, or text whatsoever. And I couldn't launch any mission.

I'll get to the ATI 3D Rage edition next.
