Skyfaller found a great find earlier MW2 The Clans DEMO!
I just went ahead and made a dosbox version since I could not get it to run in XP.
This should run fine on XP... no promises on any other.

However, the performance is not smooth at all. I am unsure whether it was meant to be that way considering how old it is or whether it is DOSBOX itself.
If someone has an old 486 laying around and wants to give it a try on there to tell me for sure I would appreciate it.

Bottom line is, do not expect it to be really playable.
The controls are in the Readme. They are not the standard mech2 controls.

Wow... thats an older one I hadn't seen before... what platform was that designed for?

DOS 5 & 6 with a 386 DX or 486

The Clans was the original version of MechWarrior 2.
They ended up scrapping the product and remaking it into what we have today.
From what I understand they had planned to actually have 6 or so factions instead of just the two we have today.

i thought the demo was removed and were'd u find it
