Dev Request for Sky

Post by -Myg » Sat Dec 20, 2008 5:17 pm

Hello sky,

I am in great need of a farpatcher for Mercnet titanium; I have tried the titfarpatcher and the generic far patcher and neither work. Any assistance with this
would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

If my patchers do not work then I don't know what else to do. My patcher changes all occurences of the VIEW tag in the PRJ to the new drawing distance. If that does not work in this particular case, then the drawing distance is either set outside the PRJ or changed by the game in the PRJ at runtime (unlikely). NetMech generates a BWD file describing the scene. If in MercNet that scene description contains a viewing distance tag, it would be difficult to change the file before it is used by the sim, because TT uses DLL calls, whereas for DOS we could make a fake .EXE file to mediate between sim and shell.

However, in order to do some testing, I would need to know how to set up TT MercNet for Network playing. Does it involve Kali?
Download MechVM

If you have problems with MechVM, please attach the files MechVM.cfg and install-report.txt from the folder where MechVM installed your game.
