So, has this sound thing been *fully* figured out yet? Or are you still working through issues?

PS: After checking out the zip; it sounds prefect: Are you going to post the technique soon?

SFL files were completely described and code was posted to solve this in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=539

I know I updated MechVM after the results were posted, but apparently that patch is missing in the current version.

Another fruitful field of work would be to integrate a Smacker player into MechVM shell, in order to play back video. Missing video playback may be the main reason why people don't accept MechVM shell. However, at least the Windows versions of MW2 currently suffer from video display errors due to bad support of color index modes in newer versions of the graphics drivers.

It would be nice to replace the jumpjet sound with a fart XP

We'll need sound samples first, though...

Does anyone happen to have a backup of what was posted in the thread linked above? as mw2.jjaro.net is long gone. Also did DracoNihil get to see all that in time i wonder, could do with a SFL - WAV converter myself as the exported WAVs with MechVM don't sound great. :/ (hell the preview play is better within MechVM)

reviving this very thread with good news "prj modification minor fix"
the prj can be modified by replacing the file you want of course....now for the fix
replace a useless or unwanted file with another bigger file in another directory in the prj
