I went to Tullahoma, Tennessee on Feb 7th for glider flights with my CAP unit. First time in years they have opened up the hangar for cadets to fly this thing. I was able to get a few pix, so here they are:

...Something bad happened when we were on our way back for pick-up; we were on our way out of Tullahoma when the transmition to our van gave out... So we were stuck in a parking lot for 3 hours (6pm-9pm) waiting for a wrecker and an alternate ride to come. :lol:

Meh, wasn't all that bad of a breakdown.
Problem was only our commander's superior could authorize a wrecker and another CAP van to come in, and he was having dinner with his son with his cell phone turned off. :P
But yeah, it was fun.

Say, I know it has nothing to do with mechwarrior, but would a video in the media section be appropriate or should I put it on photobucket with a link? :)

Something funny I just have to say;
Kell and I were both over there in Tullahoma you see, just taking our glider flights (I'm a CAP Cadet A1C as well). But the cadets who were not flying had jobs to do, many of them were flight marshals (the guys who make sure take-off goes well). Some of the marshals made sure the wings were level durring take-off, some made sure the runway was clear, and another would hook the tow rope that attached the glider to the airplane.

Well, turns out that Kell got to be the guy who hooked the tow rope, and I made sure the wings were level.
When we got back home we told our mom how everything went.
She asked us what we did there. I told her that I was the leveler, and Kell told her he was a hooker. :lol:

Wow! :o That must have been quite a view!

I got to be the co-pilot of a small plane when I was nine for a junior flight program at the local historical airfield. It was quite an experience.

These words are not taught in English classes in Germany, but I'll take a wild guess ...

The mother's face, the landscape, or both?

The Landscape... If I had a picture of the mother, maybe both...
