New dev goals?
I can't remember where I first read about it, but it's possible to replace mech configurations in the PRJ. For example, I found the configuration of the underwater mech unusable, and it's possible to exchange it with another config. I also use this technique to work around the Keshik maximum defined...

Re: View Distance Variable
The fog is left in place. This is essential for missions such as Wolf's "Aquiline Fire", where you search for a dropship on a world with many crystals, because the dropship is hard to find in the fog (tested in Titanium Trilogy). My previous statement "the missions I tested *no longer...

Re: View Distance Variable
No need to be angry at Repomancer. I think he helped in an adequate fashion. If anyone cares, I've attached a tiny installer that works for Titanium, I haven't tested it with other Windows versions of MW2. Please post your experiences. If you don't have or don't like Titanium, I can't help you yet, ...

Re: Favorite Mechs!
For MW2:31stCC, a Jenner will carry me through the first missions. It's fast and it can torso-twist, in contrast to Ral Partha's mini, whose legs connect to the torso without hips. Next step is a Mad Dog. I pack it with ERMLas, double heat sinks and 360XL engine. That's what OmniMechs are for! When ...

Re: Reintroduce/introduce your selves here
Thanks for the nice welcome.
Yes, MMPD and Wetback, we've met on mektek.net, nice to read you. mech2.org looks like a cozy place.
Thanks for offering me help with my project, Wetback. If you have information on how to improve decoding any of the formats, please let me know.

Re: Open MW2 Engine
I've not made any progress on decoding sound since my last on this topic here: http://www.mektek.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=84311 I'm no expert on sound compression, and I've checked some of Window's codecs with no success. At least I found a way to denoise the blocks that contain information I ...

Re: Open MW2 Engine
Sorry to disappoint you, but there are limits to the Linux version. So far, import data only works with CD-ROMs that are assigned Windows drive letters, not Linux mount points. That means you currently won't be able to import mechs for the mech lab or the game. Perhaps WINE can help you until I fix ...

Re: Open MW2 Engine
I'm afraid the Readme file isn't quite up-to-date. - Play game Well, this doesn't do much yet, but it deserves that special place. Displays the currently available mechs. Navigate using the following keys: a, s, d, w, n, m. If you compiled from sources, you still require the data from the win32 exec...

Open MW2 Engine
Hi, as I already mentioned in Introductions, I would like to create my own new mech engine. I would like to discuss the details in this thread if nobody minds. I currently use my own website as a data dump for what I created. You will find sources, executables and videos there: http://www.bjoern-gan...

Re: Reintroduce/introduce your selves here
I'm not sure about where I found out about mech2.org, I've known this site for some time ... I found links on mektek.net every now and then, and I think google presented me with this site sometimes. Shame about the data loss when this site crashed.
