NetMech Mech Lab, first glimpse
This is a first look at a new Mech Lab. It currently knows 155 weapons, not all of which can be used (and exported) to MW2. When finished, you may select mech sections in the viewport and assign weapons to sections by a simple click. No more "Assign criticals", or "Unassigned critical...

Re: Game Resolution
I tested 1280x800 resolution, but the results were bad. Apparently, the engine cannot deal with non-4:3 resolutions. Aside from the targeting error of setting the display to render in a 640x480 part of the window, there are strange artifacts where the screen is not cleaned up properly. However, 1400...

Re: adding mechs to mercs/mech2/gbl
These are very interesting questions, but they go beyond my knowledge about MW2. Inserting mechs into any MW2 would take some amount of research. You cannot simply use a modeling program to create and insert mechs into MW2, for various reasons: 1. You would have to convert the geometry into MW2's WT...

Re: Game Resolution
I've tried to create a similar patch for MW2:Mercs Titanium, but so far ... unsuccessful.
Better news on MW2:31stCC Titanium, the GBL Titanium resolution patcher works exactly as for GBL.

Re: Game Resolution
Well, the DOS patcher is stable enough to play the Jade Falcon campaign in 800x600. More importantly, I tried to create a similar mod for Titanium Trilogy: GBL. I got a little further, I've tested resolutions 800x600, 1024x768 and 1400x1050 successfully. The catch: the mech target display must be de...

Re: Fires in California
Impressive. Looks like we don't need a MW2: Firefighting modSir MMPD Radick wrote: As for water, I heard on the news that the largest water bomber in the world is helping out with our fires.
Can hit like 2-3 acres at once! (Might have been another county which got it tho)

Fires in California
Ps. I have not been on the netmech chat because I have been having to leave with my family several times because of the fires for the last month in Northern California.. Sorry to hear about the continuing fires in California. I hope you and your family are well. <Roleplay> The IceSpray IndustrialMe...

MW2, NoCD patches and DMCA
For running MW2 in Vista, you need DosBox and NoCD patches, right? There is a condition in the DMCA that says that if an application will no longer run on commercially available systems, DMCA does not apply. So, does that mean that distribution of NoCD patches that are required to run games in Vista...

Re: Game Resolution
Test the patched DLL cautiously. Close all other programs before using the patched MW2. I have seen it cause Windows XP to reboot. Use at your own risk, DOS is best for testing it. It is a work in progress.
However, it works if you need 800x600 on an old display.

Re: Game Resolution
I had another idea: what if I rename the dll before patching and point MW2SND.CFG to the correct file? If MW2 takes the line limit from a table with dll names, that table would no longer apply, or MW2 would choose the wrong resolution. However, the limits (768 or 480 lines) remained unchanged. I've ...
