Re: Another controls and mapping question thread, sorry
Don't mean to necro this thread, but I just figured out how to remap controls using DosBox's built-in keymapper. Kind of wish I saw Ademan's post before I did, though, since that seems so much simpler, wouldn't mess up the keyboard for in-game typing (like when entering player names) and would actua...

Feedback for my mech?
So it's my first time customizing a 'mech, and I'd like feedback on whether this is a good loadout or not. Timber Wolf Engine : 19.25 tons (XL) 54 kph Gyro : 4 tons (not sure what effect gyros have in-game) Cockpit : 3 tons Heat sinks : 15 tons (double) Jump jets : 5 tons Internal : 3.75 tons (Endo-...

Re: Age Poll
I'm twenty. I bought (or rather, my mom bought for me) Mechwarrior 2 back when it was still in every store. I had no idea how to play it, but boy, did I have fun. Re: Mercenaries on DOSBox
Well the menu's still work, but the missions still won't launch. I don't know if that's what you mean by "works".

Re: Mercenaries on DOSBox
All right. Should I put the .bat file with the rest of the files, and what should I put in it?
And when you say "by hand", do you mean directly running the MERCS.EXE?

Re: Can't run on Dosbox, VMware Fusion, or anything...
Yeah. I've run into that infamous missile bug I've been reading about here, so I suppose DOS would be the only surefire solution.

Re: Mercenaries on DOSBox
When I try to set a path DOSBox tells me that it's undefined. If I manually navigate to the .bat file and run it, I get an "illegal command: mercs.exe" message, presumably because it can't find the executable, even though I edited the .bat's contents to point to that file. I've tried putti...
