MensloWolf, I haven't had any trouble installing Mercs Win95.
I recommend doing it on an XP VM.

Dynamic Salvage breaks the Star League cache
Hi folks, Just documenting this for anyone who comes after me. It appears that using Mercenaries 1.1 and the dynamic salvage system breaks expected behaviour of missions that reward you with caches of weapons. For example, the Gravenhague mission "Glittering Gold", where you find the Star ...

A new way to install MW2 Mercs
Hi folks, I've hit upon a new (old) way to install Mercs at high resolution. This will give you any resolution you want, in D3D, starting from a Win95 disk. The key insight is that the technique 'superseded' by MW2Hook is in fact not superseded. See here: https://sites.google.com/site/mw2mercxp/ Did...

Is MechVM still being supported?
I'm having problems making MechVM run in a WinXP system. It starts but freezes with a purple screen at the Register Sibko Identity step. Has anyone seen this before?

Re: Strange bugs in Mechwarrior 2 Win95 edition
I am running a VM with a single core and at 50% CPU utilization. The game feels sluggish, and the heat rises while paused.

Strange bugs in Mechwarrior 2 Win95 edition
Hi folks, I'm seeing odd behaviours in my Win95 install. Stuff like: 1) If I'm walking and I pause, my heat just keeps rising 2) Sometimes my Mech explodes for no reason 3) In Mission 4 of the Jade Falcon campaing, all the enemies power up at once (making it practically impossible to win), and even ...

If you turn off those hardware acceleration options in Titanium, what benefits does Titanium have over DOS?

Re: Installing Mercenaries with Slug's Hook
I should note that I'm only interested in single player campaign play on all these titles, so if you're going to advise me on which version to try, please feel free to ignore Netmech and its brethren. Also, I do have access to a Windows 98SE Virtual Machine too, though I haven't had too much luck wi...

Installing Mercenaries with Slug's Hook
Hi all, I have been installing the MW2 series on a Windows XP (SP3) 32-bit Virtual Machine. I installed the Win95 versions of Mechwarrior 2, GBL, and Mercenaries. I ran MW2Hook's Setup, which created hooks for all three. The hooks for MW2 and GBL work fine, I can run them and get into combat. With M...
