I got the DOS machine and Mercs DOS running now, with my Thrustmaster chain, and it works great as I remembered. I can do everything except chat without ever touching the keyboard or mouse.

How do you do it in XP ? I installed that NetmechDOS thing, but I never see anyone on when I start it. Do I have to install any real files in addition? I don't hear any sound, but that may just be because it uses none until game starts. How do I configure my controllers? Just calibrate in XP before ...

Thats the thing and why I suggest 98 because DOS cannot see a Geforce card as there is no drivers. Neither could it see a Voodoo 5 5500 which is why if you want a video card for dos you have to go back to cards which bearly run mercs properly. I'll see what I can come up with.
